Long Plain Farm is a third generation family-owned and operated farm located in the productive Pioneer Valley in Whately, Massachusetts.
Brothers Joe and Walter Hutkoski founded the farm in 1920 when they decided to make their living from the land. Today, grandsons Scott and Wayne Hutkoski grow a vast array of crops including sweet corn, onions, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant, pumpkins, squash, turnips, and various other vegetables on over 50 acres of land. The Hutkoski family is of Polish descent and a huge swallowtail is painted over Long Plain Farm’s barn to show visitors the family’s pride in their native country.
